TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective: 2024 — Ongoing
This is a private, high-trust community. These rules exist to protect every wolf in the pack — their privacy, their information, and their right to professional respect. Read them. Know them. Live them.
The Short Version
Be professional. Treat every member with respect. This is a community of peers, not a cold-call database.
Pay it forward. We're all lone wolves. Share knowledge, offer support, and keep the door open for others.
Protect people's info. Contact details shared here stay here. No exporting, scraping, or sharing outside the network.
We can remove anyone. Violate these rules and you're out. No appeals. No exceptions.
01 — Who We Are & What This Is
Lone Wolves Club ("LWC", "the Club", "we", "us") is a private, invite-only professional network for independent music industry professionals. What started as a response to industry-wide restructuring has grown into a dynamic community of 550+ top executives and creative leaders from the biggest companies in music, tech, and entertainment.
Our goal is to highlight, showcase, and uplift our members through content, career and start-up acceleration, and basic human connection. We are a centre of excellence — empowering members to be the change they wish to see.
By accessing or using this platform you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. Continued use following any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms exist to protect every person in this community — their time, their reputation, their contact details, and their right to professional respect.
02 — Membership & Access
Membership is granted at the sole discretion of LWC administrators. All members are here because they have been through a layoff at some point, or are on some form of solo career journey — entrepreneurship, freelance, or otherwise. Approval may be revoked at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your login credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us immediately.
Membership is personal and non-transferable. You may not sell, transfer, or grant access to your account to any third party.
03 — Member Conduct
This is a professional community built on mutual respect. All interactions — on-platform messages, connection requests, use of contact information — must be conducted with professional courtesy and empathy, regardless of anyone's background, beliefs, or experience.
We pay it forward. Members are encouraged to contribute positively when they can — sharing knowledge, offering support to other members and the exec team, participating in discussions, or volunteering for special projects. We are open and non-competitive. No gatekeeping.
Engage constructively. Disagreements are natural, but they must be handled respectfully, focusing on ideas rather than personal attacks. Be honest and act with integrity in all your interactions.
You may not harass, threaten, intimidate, defame, or discriminate against any member or any other person. This includes conduct based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
You may not post or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, deceptive, or that infringes on any intellectual property rights.
You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent your credentials, or otherwise create a false professional impression.
04 — Code of Conduct
The following principles are the foundation of the Lone Wolves community. By joining, you commit to upholding all of them.
Respect each other. Treat all members with respect, kindness, and empathy. Understand that everyone has their own journey and perspective.
Pay it forward. Members are here because they have navigated industry disruption. Support others going through the same.
No gatekeeping. We are open and non-competitive. Freely share knowledge, leads, and resources.
Keep engagement constructive. Disagreements should be handled respectfully, focusing on ideas rather than personal attacks.
Respect privacy. Do not share personal information about others without their explicit consent. Build trust through honest and reliable interactions.
No harassment or discrimination. Any form of abusive behaviour — including comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, or nationality — will not be tolerated.
Prioritise safety. If you encounter content or behaviour that makes you or others feel unsafe or uncomfortable, report it immediately.
Act with integrity. Honesty is non-negotiable. Misinformation and deception undermine the trust the community is built on.
The following behaviours are considered unacceptable and may result in immediate removal: personal attacks or insults; spamming, trolling, or disruptive behaviour; sharing illegal content; impersonation of members or staff; any form of harassment or threats; publicly shaming or doxxing other members; repeatedly violating the core principles above.
05 — Respecting Member Information
Member profiles contain personal and professional information shared in good faith within a closed, trusted network.
You may not export, scrape, harvest, or compile member data for any purpose outside of direct, individual professional contact within LWC.
You may not share, sell, publish, or disclose any member's personal contact information to any person or organisation outside of LWC without that member's explicit written consent.
Members who have enabled "Open to Opportunities" are indicating openness to relevant, respectful recruiter contact — not consent to unsolicited approaches. One rejection means no further contact on that topic.
06 — Recruiter & HR Use
Recruiters and HR professionals are welcome in this community. You may only contact members about roles genuinely relevant to their stated experience and goals.
You may not contact members who have not indicated they are "Open to Opportunities" for the purpose of soliciting job changes or referrals.
You may not use LWC to conduct background checks or reference checks on a member without their prior explicit consent.
Recruiters who engage in spammy or high-volume unsolicited outreach will be removed without warning.
07 — Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you create and post on LWC. By posting, you grant LWC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the platform.
You may not post content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
LWC's name, branding, design, and platform code are proprietary. You may not copy, replicate, or use them without express written permission.
08 — Privacy & Data
We collect and store the minimum data necessary to operate this platform. Your profile information is visible only to approved, active members of LWC.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time. Upon deletion, your profile and contact details will be removed within 30 days.
09 — Reporting & Enforcement
If you witness or are subject to any behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, report it to a platform administrator immediately. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
LWC administrators reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any member at any time, for any reason, without notice.
Conduct resulting in immediate removal includes: misuse of member contact information, harassment of any kind, data scraping, impersonation, or any illegal activity.
10 — Limitation of Liability
LWC is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of member-submitted information, or outcomes from connections made through the platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LWC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
11 — Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform. Your continued use after any update constitutes acceptance. Questions should be directed to a LWC platform administrator.
