01 — Who We Are
Lone Wolves Club ("LWC", "we", "us") is a private, invite-only professional network for independent music industry professionals, operated at lonewolvesclub.co.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. By using this platform, you agree to the practices described here.
Questions? Contact us through the platform or by replying to any email you have received from us.
02 — Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store your plaintext password).
Google sign-in: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive your Google password or payment information.
Profile information: Information you choose to add to your member profile, including job title, company, location, bio, social media handles, resume, and profile photo.
Usage data: Standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. These are used solely for platform security and operational purposes.
Communications: Messages you send to other members through the platform's messaging system.
03 — How We Use Your Information
To operate the platform: Your information is used to create and maintain your account, display your profile to other approved members, and enable platform features such as messaging and connections.
To communicate with you: We use your email address to send account-related communications — including approval or rejection of your application, password reset links, platform updates, and community announcements.
To enforce our Terms: We may use account activity information to investigate and act on violations of our Terms of Service and Code of Conduct.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not sell your data.
04 — Who Can See Your Information
Other approved members can see your profile information, including your name, photo, bio, job history, and any contact details you choose to make visible.
Platform administrators can access all member information for the purposes of moderation and platform operation.
We do not share your personal information with any third party outside of the platform, except as required by law or as necessary to operate the platform (e.g., our email delivery provider receives your email address solely to send you emails).
If you connect using Google sign-in, your use of Google's service is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
05 — Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your profile and personal data from the platform within 30 days.
Some information may be retained for longer where required by law or for legitimate operational purposes (such as records of conduct violations).
To request account deletion, contact a platform administrator through the platform or by email.
06 — Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect member data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Access to the platform and member data is restricted to approved members and platform administrators.
No system is perfectly secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge this inherent risk by using the platform.
07 — Your Rights
You may access and update your profile information at any time through your account settings.
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting a platform administrator.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, and the right to data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.
08 — Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is essential for the platform to function and is not used for tracking or advertising.
During Google sign-in, we also use a short-lived cookie to protect against cross-site request forgery attacks. This cookie is deleted immediately after sign-in completes.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics cookies.
09 — Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the platform. Your continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
Questions about this Policy should be directed to a LWC platform administrator.
